ARTIST | Mark Russel Jones
Mark Russell Jones is a painter living and working in Los Angeles. Born in California, he received his BFA in painting with distinction from the California College of the Arts in Oakland, California. During his time there, he explored a multi-disciplinary approach to his painting through in-depth studies in art history, photography, drawing, design, and printmaking. Hovering between abstraction and representation, his approach to painting is informed by his interests in geography, light and environment.

REDUCTIVE
The reductive prints give the illusion of texture while maintaining the integrity of the original work of art. In other words – they are the flat version of an original. The key to our reductive print starts with the scan. The scanner captures all of the detail from the original. Every mark, brushstroke, fine line, smudge and incidental as well as the peaks and valleys of the piece are captured and reproduced to simulate the depth of the original when printed.
BLACK FLOAT
Displays the stretched canvas with a slight gap between the artwork and the clean black wood frame.
